From the South
If arriving in Fort William from the South, take the A82 through the town and turn left onto the A830, opposite the Ben Nevis Distillery and BP petrol station crossing the bridge over the River Lochy. Drive along the A830 for approximately one mile, and turn right immediately after passing the Canal Bridge at Neptune's Staircase, on the Caledonian Canal. (In summer the canal bridge may even be up allowing you to stop and watch the boats navigating this famous set of seven locks.) Carry on along this road for 3.9 miles, when you will come to a beautiful old Stone Scottish Bridge and a signpost to Glen Loy. After approximately 1.8 miles you will cross a timber bridge and the entrance of Inverskilavulin is immediately on your right.
From the North
If approaching from the North you will reach a BP station and the Ben Nevis Distillery at traffic lights just before Fort William. Here you turn right onto the A830 and follow the same directions as above.
Form the West
Finally if you are approaching Fort William from the Mallaig direction along the A830 you will reach Inverskilavulin by turning left into the road marked Banavie about a mile past the shops at Corpach, immediately before the bridge at the Caledonian Canal. Carry on as above.
