With Fort William only ten minutes away, and Glencoe / Skye / Oban / Western Isles ferries only 45 minutes we have a great central location for your Highland holiday. Below are some activities you can do locally in and around Spean Bridge, Fort William and the Highlands.

Here at Inverskilavulin, one of the things we pride ourselves on is the wildlife that inhabits the estate. Pictured is Tortoiseshell Butterfly Caterpillars (I think), a Gold Ringed Dragonfly Larvae, some kind of Hawker Larvae (I think), A Common Froglet, A Fox Earred Moth, Gold Ringed Drangonfly, Pearl Bordered Fritillary Butterflies, a Bee Hawk Moth, A Great Emporer Moth and a Palmate Newt.
Other exciting animals to look out for are Chequered Skipper Butterflies, Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers, Red Squirrels, Pine Martens, Wild Boar, Foxes, Badgers and Red, Fallow & Sika Deer.

🌈 A wonderful, rainbow variety of Rhodedendrons on the estate.
Many of the blooms were destroyed during the late frost sadly, as we also have deep purples, yellows and white ones. On a nice day you can hear them humming with various insects 🐝
